CEO, Symbility Intersect
Paul Crowe is at the forefront of helping organizations embrace the constant evolution of consumer expectations, technology, and design. He thrives on enabling his clients to quickly adapt to the changing landscape, embrace the risk involved with the process, and prosper from the business and cultural benefits that are delivered – ultimately creating an organizational competitive advantage.
Paul is the currently the CEO of Intersect, an organization that has built its award winning business by helping Fortune 500 companies think and act like startups – an offering that complements the company’s work facilitating the growth and success of startups at their Toronto site. Intersect (formerly known as bnotions) was acquired in 2015 by Symbility Solutions and with the acquisition Paul also assumed the role of CMO of global marketing operations – bringing his test & learn and agile mindset to marketing and business development of the company. His marketing team is operating in a way that is anything but business as usual and unique for B2B organizations.
Prior to his role as CEO at Symbility Intersect and CMO at Symbility Solutions, Paul spent over a decade in roles extending across digital marketing, digital advertising, digital/mobile strategy, and the oversight of product management, product design, and engineering teams that have delivered projects for the likes of Facebook, Zynga, Walmart, Loyalty One, TD Bank, CIBC, Stubhub, Bittorrent, 500px, Liberty Mutual, Johnson & Johnson, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Standard Innovation, Morneau Shepell, Mastercard, American Express, the LCBO, Express Scripts, Samsung, RBC, and eBay Inc. among many others.
Paul and his various businesses have received numerous awards and recognition from the likes of Profit Magazine, E&Y, Toronto Region Board of Trade, Facebook, and many more. The awards presented to Paul include but are not limited to Toronto Region Board of Trade Employer of the Year, Facebook Global Innovation Award, Profit Fast 50, and the BDO Business Value Award.
Faculty Member, Faculty of Business, Athabasca University
Houda Trabelsi is an e-Commerce faculty member at Faculty of Business, Athabasca University since 2000. She has received her M.Sc. Business Administration from Sherbrooke University; Master of Management from University of Tunis- Tunisia, and Advanced Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from Moncton University, NB.
Houda Trabelsi has developed comprehensive and rich e-Commerce and MIS courses, managed and coordinated the development of all advanced e-Commerce courses. In addition to her academic teaching and research, she is working closely with the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) and other industry Leaders to build and develop the Business, Technology and Management (BTM ) program.
Senior Consultant, Peak Ventures
Richard has spent over 25 years bringing people and technology together to capitalize on business opportunities in a broad range of areas. Recent projects include designing and delivering educational programs for corporate innovation and intrapreneurship and formulating organizational strategy for a medical foundation. Previously he has diverse roles ranging from running an IT department focused on innovation and efficiency at an oilfield service company to building the global sales of a new product to over $ 40 million in four years.
He has led several startup companies, raising millions of dollars to get them off the ground. He worked a venture capitalist (“Company Creator”) with the Western Technology Seed Investment Fund, a seed stage venture capital fund, as a coach and mentor. He has 15 years experience in product management, business development and R&D in the global telecommunications business with companies such as Bell-Northern Research and Nortel Networks.
Richard is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He currently volunteers as a mentor with APEGA, Futurpreneur, Zone Startups and the Haskayne School of Business. He speaks four languages including Mandarin and Spanish.
Marc-André Léger, MBA, eMBA, MScA, Adm.A.

Marc-André Léger has been working in Business Technology Management since 1983. Since 1987, he has specialized in information security, risk management and IT governance. These days, he teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Concordia University and Université de Sherbrooke. It has a long track record that includes programming, network management, project management and information security. He worked in the National Defense, Federal Public Service, Financial and Insurance, Health and Education sectors in France, the United States and several Canadian provinces. From 2009 to 2015 he was curator of Québec’s computer history museum and was a founding member of a Fab Lab and a MakerSpace. Geek and Maker, he actively contributes to the makers movement as a trainer and advisor. Marc-André has an MBA, an Executive MBA, a Masters in MIS, three graduate certificates and is currently persuing a PhD.
